A Paper by Undergraduate Students Majoring in Cultural and Art Management was Published in an International Academic Journal Registered on KCI

  Undergraduate students at Sangmyung Universitys Department of Cultural and Art Management conducted research with advisor professor Kim Hyun-su about global fandom communication platform Weverse of HYBE, and published a paper in an international academic journal registered on KCI. In this article, I will take a closer look at the paper written by undergraduate students wtih their advisor professor. Also, I will introduce more about the Department of Cultural and Art Management.

  A paper A study on Entertainment Platform Service Evaluation Using IPA (Importance-Performance Analaysis : Focusing on Weverse written by Professor Kim Hyun-su and undergraduate students Kwak Nam-mi and Kim Da-Yeon as co-authors, was published in the Journal of the Korea Entertainment Industry Association (JKEIA) (Vol. 16, No. 7). According to the paper, after prior research, undergraduate students conducted in-depth interviews and surveyed Weverse users. The paper analyzed the importance and satisfaction of each function of platform service and diagnosed the current status and problems of Weverse. In particular, the paper presented the priority of introducing new services and suggested future directions.


  Kim Da-Yeon, 3rd grade majoring in Cultural and Art Management said We had many meetings to collect and analyze data for research with our advisor professor during more than six months, so we are able to achieve good results. Kwak Nam-mi, 4th grade majoring in Cultural Management and Art said I would like to thank Professor Kim Hyun-su for guiding me to complete our paper, and I want to continue research in the entertainment field after graduation. Kim Hyun-su, an advisor professor of the Department of Cultural and Art Management, said It is uncommon for an undergraduate student majoring in arts to publish a paper in a prestigious journal. She also said, We were able to achieve good results because the students have much interest in the entertainment business, and they put immense efforts to solve problems arising in the entertainment business field.



  Sangmyung Universitys Department of Cultural and Art Management aims to produce future culture and arts CEOs, who will lead the Korean art world in the era of culture and become a center of cultivating future cultural arts planners. Above this, students at the Department of Cultural and Art Management want to expand their potential and have endless growth, so they are expected to move forward. Keep interested in students majoring in Cultural and Art Management at Sangmyung University.
