인간-컴퓨터 상호작용(HCI: Human Computer Interaction)은 컴퓨터가 사용자의 요구를 보다 유용하게 수용하게 하여 사용자와 컴퓨터 사이의 상호작용을 개선하는 것을 목표로 하며, 그 내용은 컴퓨터 공학은 물론 인지과학, 사회과학, 상호작용 디자인 등 여러 학문분야가 다양하게 유기적으로 연결되어 있다. 본 과목은 인간-컴퓨터 상호작용 전반에 걸친 기본 원칙들과 응용사례들을 소개하고, 상호작용 가능한 컴퓨터 시스템을 사용자 중심의 방법론 안에서 디자인 하고 구현하는 방법, 그리고 이러한 시스템을 사용성 측면에서 평가하는 방법 등을 배우게 된다.

HCI (Human Computer Interaction) aims to improve the interactions between users and computers by making computers more usable and receptive to users' needs. It is often regarded as the intersection of computer science, behavioral sciences, design, media studies, and several other fields of study. Specifically, HCI has interests in: methodologies and processes for designing interfaces, methods for implementing interfaces, techniques for evaluating and comparing interfaces, developing new interfaces.
